Panjab University has bagged a third rank in the Khelo India University Games 2021 coming at among all the participating universities.
With an aggregate of 48 medals, PU has been successful in winning 15 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals in the multi-sports event.
Khelo India University Games (KIUG) is a multi-sports event which is held at the national level in India. Students from various universities compete in different categories of sports in this largest university level competition.
Union Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah, awarded the winners with felicitations. In his speech, he mentioned that all the athletes who took a part in this prestigious competition are worthy of applause. Winning and loosing are a core part of sports but what matters is the effort. He also stressed about PM, Narendra Modi's vision to see India excelling in sports arena.
