In the wake of which NSUI leaders Nirjog Singh Mann, Sachin Galav Sharma, Akash Kohli and other members conducted a surprise check of the Mess and Canteen of Girls' Hostel No. 5 & 7.
Of the various problems found, the ones that irked the most were potatoes lying outside on floor, free for rodents to binge on.
Mess workers cooking chapatis were not wearing
gloves and there was no soap near the wash basin
in the kitchen, which speaks volumes of the level of
hygiene being maintained.
The NSUI PU leaders gave a warning to the Mess and Canteen incharge. Another check would take place in a week's time.
