Rajiv Verma appointed as New Advisor for Chandigarh
Rajeev Verma will be the new advisor to the Administrator of Chandigarh. Pondicherry Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma will assume the role, as sources reveal that the Union Home Ministry has given the green signal for his appointment.
On January 29, 2024, with the approval of the competent authority, Rajiv Verma was appointed as the new advisor. He is a senior IAS officer from the 1992 batch, currently serving as the Chief Secretary in Pondicherry.
In addition, the Central Government has appointed Sharat Chauhan from the 1994 batch as the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh, while Naveen Kumar Chaudhary from the 1994 batch has been transferred from Mizoram to Delhi.
