In a very recent occurrence, it came to notice that the TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) which was held on 12th March will be reconducted because of the paper being leaked. It was observed that several correct answers were highlighted in a bold manner in one of the papers following which the exam was cancelled. It has been decided that the exam will be re-conducted later without any exam fee
Harjot Bains, Education Minister has ordered for a high level probe. He tweeted, "To maintain complete fairness in our examination process, a PS level probe has been ordered to look in to PSTET exam conducted by a third Party with A++ NAAC grade i.e. GNDU. Accountability will be fixed & those found guilty will be booked for criminal negligence". He added how further MOUs with third parties should be made more carefully and candidates should not suffer in such cases.
TET exam is an eligibility test for candidates aspiring to be a teacher in government or private schools in different states. For a fair decision, a committee has been set up and the matter is being investigated.
