Two held for honey trapping a businessman for Rs 2 crore

A social media influencer Jasneet alias Rajvir Kaur has been arrested by the Kharar City Police Station along with her alleged partner Ratanveer Singh alias Mohan Pal for honey trapping a businessman for Rs. 2 crore and extorting Rs. 1 lakh from him.

The accused Jasneet is from Burga village of Dhuri police jurisdiction of Sangrur district of Punjab and another accused Ratanveer Singh is from Kuragawali village of Rauli police jurisdiction of Sirsa district of Haryana and also claimed to be associated with Student Organisation of India (SOI), student wing of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

Opposition student parties have alleged that the act in which Ratanveer who was also announced as All Colleges Chairman for SOI in Chandigarh is very disappointing.

The victim Gurbir Singh of Ludhiana's Pakhowal Road area told the police Jasneet blackmailed him and with her accomplices demanded Rs. 2 crore from him. Their another alleged partner Sarvuttam Singh alias Lucky Sandhu of Sahnewal in Ludhiana collected Rs. 1 lakh from him and after Gurbir's pleading for concession they agreed to settle the matter for Rs. 35 lakh and in return assured him an affidavit from the accused girl. Jasneet and Ratanveer were arrested when they came to collect Rs 35 lakh from Gurbir.
