“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds, and diamonds are made under pressure.” ~ Peter Marshall
Pramita Tiwari, a 17 year old girl scored 97.75% in class 12 ICS exams despite being diagnosed with Acute Minor Leukemia in August last year. She complained of severe backache and fatigue while attending her online classes during the lockdown period. After a few medical tests were conducted, her family was apprised of the gravity of the situation.
Pramita, a student of Seth MR Jaipuria School, was brokenhearted and tensed but her parents bolstered her spirits. She was first admitted in a hospital in the city which referred her to a multi-speciality hospital in Gurugram for chemotherapy. She did not have a consistent study schedule due to her illness and never forced herself to study but whilst studying she paid close attention to each and every topic.
She fought against all odds and is an inspiration to millions who aspire to make their mark in life. Her driving force was the zeal and enthusiasm to pass her boards with flying colours. Her journey is a testimony to the fact that hardwork, perseverance, and self confidence are indispensable to succeed in life. The key to success is to focus on your goals and not obstacles.
She aims to choose a career in medicine and become a doctor.
