Lifeline Visa, an immigration company in sector 34, Chandigarh, has been booked for duping three people of Rs. 10.80 lakh for providing Canada's work visa.
Subham Kumar, proprietor of the firm, allegedly took Rs.10.80 lakh from the complainant, P Sankara Rao of Andhra Pradesh. He along with his cousin and niece applied, but they were not provided the Visa. The money was also not returned.
These incidents are not new for tricity. Two weeks back, a similar case appeared where two accused Kamaljeet Singh and Mandeep Singh, owners of 'Blue Planet Visa Consultancy' have allegedly committed a Rs.2 crore immigration fraud.
These kind of frauds are on a spree and specific measures are ought to be taken against them.
