Hit for BJP in Punjab: Veteran Congress leader Sunil Jakhar joins BJP
Former PPCC Chief Sunil Jakhar on discourteous exit from Congress joined BJP in Delhi. He was inducted by BJP National Head JP Nadda.
Jakhar revealed his displeasure on notice served from party leader Tariq Anwar and expressed his feelings that he once called Sonia Gandhi a foreigner.
Jakhar had quit the Congress last week after scourging out at former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi saying that he was “not an asset” as shown by the party leadership.
It seems that Jakhar’s name was also removed from CM post after Captain Amrinder Singh resigned by stating him as a " Hindu " face. However, Jakhar's nephew Sandeep Jakhar fought elections from Abohar in assembly elections 2022 and won the sit from Congress.
PU Pulse had earlier predicted that Jakhar can join BJP.
