The jet black granite statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was inaugurated by PM Modi yesterday which is placed under the Grand Canopy to the east of India Gate, halfway on the east-west axis to the National War Memorial.
PM Modi also inaugurated the Kartavya Path on Thursday in the presence of hundreds of people and the event saw cultural performances from over 20 teams of artistes from across states.
The 3 km stretch from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate was flanked by green landscape with new amenity blocks, an amphitheatre for open air performances, low-level bridges over refurbished canals and also improved public amenities among others.
