Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) celebrated the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh for which they held an event at StuC PU at 4:00 p.m and it recorded over 300 attendees as per them. They organised a nukkad natak guided by Farheeh Sheikh of Mass Communication Department, PU and performed by students. Also, in its statement ABVP stated that on the other hand, a plethora of organisations used Bhagat Singh ji’s slogans and undertook anti-national activities.
As per ABVP, the program was solely based to showcase the conflicts of thoughts. They told various things about the great leader who surrendered his last breath for the country at the age of 23.
In the play they talked about the ideology of United India rather than a divided one presented by Bhagat Singh by always taking his country as his first priority but also embarked on social practices and taboos including caste system, corruption, gender inequality and many more. After the act, several musical performances followed.
